Dear Dean Constantine

My name is Al Buxton and I come from a small town outside of Huston, Texas. I am writing you this letter in hope that you will accept me into UCU (United Clown University). I am unemployed but used to work as a body builder. To pass the time I currently help my father in his campaign “Steroids Are Not Drugs”. The reason why I want to come to UCU is to take the next step in my life. The pass five generations in my family have been in the body builders business, and all five of them have been Texas state champion. You see my family would never accept me coming to the UCU, but it has been my passion for my whole life to learn from the best of the best. In my childhood I use to watch the greatest in action Yuri Nikulin, Barry Lubin and CepillĂn and all went to the UCU. They have all been my roll models and have watched them in action a number of times. I have mastered a number of tricks from three of these artists, including the famous quadruple banana pie car throw, which has taken me a great deal of time to perfect. Also I have no problems with the juggling test. I once went to one of the university seminars on “The Juggling Way”. Thank you very much for taking the time to read my application to letter. I look forward for waiting for your reply.

Yours sincerely

Al Buxton

Dear Mr. Al Buxton

I have reed your letter personally and have taken everything to note. I find that your story is truly touching and am pleased to write to you and tell that I feel that UCU is the ideal destination for you to start your journey as a clown. However I find it unacceptable for students to be unemployed while attending UCU. Before you come you must be employed and earn a salary. I too know how it feels not have the full support of family for something you eagerly desire. My family has been dean of this fine university for the last 4 generations. But I never really had the clown blood running through my veins. I remember every night after practicing tricks with my father I would always run up to my room and take out my writing book which I hid and just started writing without end. So Mr. Buxton I was wondering if it would be possible if I were to write a book about you and your life story without mentioning your name or any personal family details. I would be tremendously grateful if you would allow me to carry out this personal project of mine.

Sincerely

Dean Constantine

Dear Dean Constantine

Thank you very much for giving me a possibility and helping me go through the right path in my life. Its nice to know that there are people out there like yourself who give people like me a chance to get to the dreams and to achieve their goals. I understand entirely about the unemployment issue and will get to that factor as soon as possible and will bring your documents regarding my latest occupation. I am sorry that you did not have the chance like I have had, for you to become the writer you wanted to be. That shows how family makes more decision for their children then their children make for themselves. I would be extremely happy and honored to be apart of your book that you would like to write on my life. It will be alright if you mention my name and details, but I would like it if you would leave out my families name, the back round will be fine to mention. Thank you again Dean Constantine for giving me this opportunity.

Yours sincerely

Al Buxton

Really good Sami. The characters that you choose were great :P I like the part with the banana car trick or something like that. I understand entirely whats going on and at the same time, you put a little personal detail with the dean at UCU. So they are talking about the education and the dean talks about what he wanted to do or he was doing. Also you set the background for these characters like th body building guy and the deans before him. So overall, well done and you might be missing a few commas.

Overall Sami its really good. You manage to be funny, I loved the first letter...laughed my bottom off. The second letter was also good until the point where he wanted to write a book about the other guy...thats where it got kinda confusing...I don't think the dean wud be intrested to write a book based on a guy's application to join the college...Other than that good overall!
